Audits Passed Successfully
April 20 was the final date of a management system recertification audit for conformity to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 at Omsk Carbon Group OOO.
It was the first joint audit of the integrated management system of Omsk Carbon Group OOO and its Volgograd branch. The effectiveness of the two plants’ three management systems was evaluated by experts from the Russian rep office of TÜV SÜD Management Service GmbH, an independent German certification body. The certification experts verified conformity to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 in Omsk and Volgograd. The audit involved discussions with top management – the Directors of the Omsk Production Site and the Volgograd-based branch – as well as area directors, line managers and specialists.
In his comment on the audit results, Dmitry Pankratov, Lead Auditor, touched on the considerable amount of work done to integrate the management systems of Omsk Carbon Group OOO and its Volgograd branch. A new process model involved developing and revising more than 70 management system documents, assessing process risks and determining risk mitigation measures. Personnel is engaged in management system improvement in all areas. Production practices are maintained at a high level. The auditor also stressed the outstanding expertise, hospitality and friendliness of the staff members he has met.
With the Omsk Carbon Group management systems meeting all of the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 international standards, the certification body will issue certificates of conformity of the management systems to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
The importance of compliance of the OCG management systems with the international ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 requirements is hard to overestimate as the availability of conformity certificates is one of the prerequisites for product supply to both the domestic and the international markets.
An audit by Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., one of the leading global tire manufactures, has also been a success for Omsk Carbon Group OOO, with its performance gaining a high score of 95%. The customer’s representatives appreciated streamlined production, an advanced automation level and striving for ongoing improvement and confirmed their intentions to cooperate on a long-term basis, expand the range of carbon blacks consumed and further increase their volumes.
